What is Línea Prevención?
Linea Prevención is a free assistance and advice service from the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción Spanish construction labour foundation (here also referred as to “the Foundation”), regarding health and safety at work. It is aimed to reduce the accident rate at work in this sector.
With this project, the Foundation pretends to offer workers and small companies a useful service that allows them to get practical solutions in a quick and easy way.
This service has three main tools:
An email address
, a free phone service (+34 900 20 30 20), - where technicians of the foundation will answer any type of query regarding health and safety at work, and a web-conference, which is a voice or remote-controlled guided tour in which our technicians will answer any questions, taking special care of those cases in which the user has no computer knowledge.
Our main purpose is to support the implementation of risk prevention and the improvement of the companies’ working conditions in the sector in order to reduce the accident rate at work.
Likewise, the Foundation pursues the following objectives:
- To provide companies with support and added values to help them improve and adjust their prevention measures.
- To raise workers’ and companies’ consciousness about the need of implementing and adjusting the administration of risk prevention, and to share with them the principles and development of preventive actions.
- To spread the “knowledge on prevention” to the production fabric of small and medium construction companies and to get to change habits and conducts, which are considered the true cause of the high accident rate in this sector in the last few years.

Permanent Workshop
The permanent workshop is an initial training action regarding labour risk prevention for all the workers in the construction industry.
Our objective is the acquisition of the necessary knowledge to identify the most frequent labour risks and the preventive measures to be taken to remove or reduce such risks.

Mobile Workshop
Our mobile workshop is a vehicle specially equipped to offer a top-quality training on site, since workers are reached straight away and within their work environment.
The mobile workshop developed by the Foundation is 42 square metres. It’s been equipped with the latest technology like internet connection via satellite, wi-fi internet connection, audio-visual media, etc., improving the way of learning and assuring the personnel full training.
Technical Conferences
In order to spread the latest news in the field of health and safety at work, the Foundation organizes different events related to this subject. Therefore, the Foundation has organized and participated in more than 60 events in 2007.
